Tyson Fury has suffered a blow to his plans regarding his £4million mansion, reports say.

The boxing star is hoping to extend his eight-bedroom home, where he currently lives with his wife Paris and their seven children.

Yet his plans to expand the property have now been dealt a huge blow, according to The Sun.

It’s claimed the heavyweight icon has been told that birds flocking to ponds or fruit trees on his land may be a hazard to nearby jets.

Fury had already given up hopes of demolishing a house on the site after bats were found inside a loft.

Changing course, the 35-year-old hoped to extend his eight-bedroom home and have a basement music room, games area, breakfast and garden rooms and a cinema all put in.

Yet it’s claimed the safeguarding authority at nearby Manchester airport has told him birds could go to the Cheshire site if planned cherry trees are planted.

Open water also represents an issue and only sterile or rarely fruiting trees must be used.

The authority have said ‘flight safety’ and ‘bird strike avoidance’ is behind their thinking.

“Robust measures are to be taken to prevent species of birds hazardous to aircraft being attracted to the site,” the experts are quoted as saying.

Fury is also unable to use exterior uplighting in case it distracts pilots flying planes.

The property is no doubt where he’ll spend his time plotting a sensational victory over Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

The two men confirmed their fight will take place on February 17, having originally been due to lock horns next month.

Fury fired insults at Usyk prior to their press conference earlier in the week.

And the Briton feels he’s the only man capable of preventing his opponent from total domination.

“There’s only me who stands in the way of him and total domination of Europe,” he told Sky Sports.

“He’s beaten all of the British guys – Chisora, Joshua, Dubois – and there’s only me.

“I’m the dauntless in his waters, let’s just say that. They’ve got to pull out the long-range guns and we’ll see.

“If he beats me, which he can’t, there will be nothing which stands in his way of total domination. [He can’t beat me] because I’m ‘The Gypsy King’ – that’s enough.”

Fury added: “It was only a month ago where it was a [bad] time to be a heavyweight and because of me all of these fights are happening.

“I’m like the promoter of the heavyweight division now.

“I’m promoting the whole heavyweight division. They’re all working for me now, everybody – I’ve got them all under the ‘Gypsy King’ banner.

“Without me, they wouldn’t be working on December 23, that’s a fact. They’re all good fights, every one of them. I know every one of them, I was involved in putting all of them on.

“I can’t go too much into this on camera, but let’s just say I was heavily involved.”
