A spokesperson for the couple said: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Eamonn and Ruth hosted This Morning together for 14 years, and were a fixture on the show both on Fridays and during the school holidays.

The pair stopped presenting the show in 2020 and were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

Holmes joined GB News as a presenter on Breakfast in 2022. Meanwhile, Langsford has remained a regular panellist and anchor on Loose Women since 1999.

Eamonn had split from his first wife in 2005, Gabrielle Holmes, who is the mother of his three eldest children.

In 2006, the TV couple began co-hosting ITV’s This Morning.

And after Eamonn spotted a couple of gentlemen flirting with Ruth at Cheltenham Races, he made an impromptu proposal.
