Conor McGregor blasts Leo Varadkar again and sets record straight on migration stance

Conor McGregor has insisted he doesn’t connect crime with migration.

The UFC star recently took aim at Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar after riots broke out on the streets of Dublin.

Protestors took to the streets after a man went on an unprovoked stabbing spree outside a school last week.

A woman, a man and three children were injured in the horrific attack – with a five-year-old girl still in hospital.

Violence erupted amid claims the suspect was a non-Irish citizen. Varadkar has since confirmed the man suspected of carrying out the attack is an Irish citizen who has been in the country for 20 years, but was not born in the state.

McGregor said over the weekend: “I don’t care about President [Michael D] Higgins statement.

“Or Varadkars statement. Or Mary Lou’s. Or Justice McEntee’s. Or Garda commissioner’s.

“Announce our plan of action! What are we waiting for?

“Your statements of nothing are absolutely worthless to the solving of this issue. Take Action!! Fix this situation IMMEDIATELY!”

He later insisted he doesn’t condone the riots.

“I do not condone last nights riots. I do not condone any attacks on our first responders in their line of duty,” he said.

“I do not condone looting and the damaging of shops. Last nights scenes achieved nothing toward fixing the issues we face.

“I do understand frustrations however, and I do understand a move must be made to ensure the change we need is ushered in. And fast!

“I am in the process of arranging. Believe me I am way more tactical and I have backing.

“There will be change in Ireland, mark my words. The change needed.

“In the last month, innocent children stabbed leaving school. Ashling Murphy murdered. Two Sligo men decapitated.

“This is NOT Ireland’s future! If they do not act soon with their plan of action to ensure Ireland’s safety, I will.”

And McGregor has now taken to social media once again, insisting he doesn’t associate crime with migration.

“I do not connect crime with migration,” he ranted.

“I connect crime to your governments many failed policies in protecting and securing the inhabitants of Ireland.

“There is a real lapse in national security.

“We need a brand new task force founded to assess all entrants into Ireland.

“Our natives and our visitors will all benefit with this peace of mind.

“We need deportation of those here illegally or that have committed a crime here.

“There needs to be a brand new unit founded specifically for this task. Call it “Ireland Protect.”

Varadkar has called on the citizens of Ireland not to link crime and migration together.

“I really would ask people to try and avoid connecting crime with migration. It’s not right,” Mr Varadkar told the Dáil.

“Yes, of course, people who are migrants might commit crimes, just as people who aren’t commit crimes.”

He added: “Just as there are people born and bred in Ireland who commit terrible crimes every day, including murders.”
