Carl Frampton has blasted Tyson Fury following his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night, insisting the Gypsy King ‘looked ridiculous’ after piling on the pounds.

The Briton previously lost to Usyk via split decision back in May.

And Fury experienced another tough night on Saturday, with the 36-year-old losing via unanimous decision to suffer the second professional defeat of his career.

Prior to the bout, the fighter left no stone unturned as he pursued victory.

Fury opted to spend time away from his wife, Paris, and their seven children – with the heavyweight star grafting hard in the gym for three months.

And he also piled on the pounds, weighing in at a staggering 281lb for his rematch with Usyk.

Frampton, speaking to talkSPORT, has now criticised that decision and accused Fury of ‘looking ridiculous’ as a result.

“I think he should have been more aggressive in the fight,” said the Northern-Irishman.

“Look, people are different. Some people are body beautiful and get into shape and ripped up pretty easily, some people have athletic physiques and whatever.

“But if you’re training hard twice a day, lifting weights and running and sparring, and everything else, I don’t know how you can look like that.”

Fury performed better against Usyk in the second fight, compared to the first.

And he was furious when it was announced that the Ukrainian had, once again, come out on top.

Fury fumed at the post-fight press conference, insisting his opponent had been given a ‘Christmas gift’.

He insisted he wouldn’t be appealing despite his disappointment, however.

“I felt a little Christmas spirit in there and I think he got a little Christmas gift from them judges. An early Christmas gift,” he said.

“I was confident I had won that fight again. I thought I’d won both fights, but then again I’ve gone home with two losses on my record. I will always believe until the day I die that I won that fight.

“I’m not going to cry over spilt milk. It’s happened now. I know boxing, I’ve been in it all my life and you can’t change no decisions.

“I will always feel a little bit hard done by. Not a little bit, actually a lot. When you don’t get the knockout, this is what happens. You can’t guarantee the win.”
