Flight disruptions can cause chaos for holidaymakers but airlines have shared advice on what to do if this is likely.

Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 have advice for Britons travelling this month.

The airline has urged customers to be aware of “potential disruptions to and from the United Kingdom” that impact flights today.

It explained UK weather conditions over the last few days could have caused delays for all airlines.

Ryanair flights

Ryanair states flight disruptions could continue today

It said: “Affected passengers will be notified and any passengers travelling to/from the UK on Friday 1st – Tuesday 5th of December should check their Ryanair app for the latest updates on their flight.

“We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions which are outside of Ryanair’s control and affects all airlines operating to/from the UK on Friday 1st -Tuesday 5th of December.”

easyJet has no known flight disruptions but has shared advice for anyone travelling to and from Luton Airport amid possible delays.

It said Britons should take extra care if travelling by car.

It said: “Please allow extra time for your journey if you’re travelling by road.

“Following the car park fire in October, the drop-off and pick up zone has moved to the Mid-Stay car park.

“This is a 10 minute walk from the Terminal, or a free shuttle bus service is available. Blue Badge holders can be dropped off at Terminal Car Park 1.

“Airport parking is limited so please book this in advance.”

The airline states it does not expect any disruptions but has urged customers to regularly check their flights for any changes.

Jet2 urged Britons to regularly check for flight updates

It stated today: “Please check this section of the website at least 12 hours before your flight for the latest flight information.

“Customers are advised to arrive at their departure airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time.

“All Jet2 flights today are planned to operate as normal. In the event of any flight delays further information can be found by using the above search panel by entering your flight number or route. As a reminder check in desks will close 40 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

“Rest assured, in the event of flight disruption our dedicated Operations teams are always working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible.”
