Hailey Davidson has moved a step closer to her goal of playing on the LPGA Tour one day after winning an all-female tournament in Florida.
The 30-year-old won the NXXT Women’s Classic near Orlando, Florida.
Davidson, who was born in Scotland but now lives in Florida, has now moved top of the NXXT tour’s leaderboard.
She currently sits 150 points ahead of Maria Bohorquez in second place and is in prime position to earn a place in the Epson Tour.

The players sitting in the top-five of the NXXT Tour leaderboard at the end of the season will earn exemptions to compete in the LPGA qualifying tour.
The LPGA Tour removed its “female at birth” requirement in 2010, opening the door for trans athletes to join the field.
Davidson’s win this week sparked backlash on social media with Piers Morgan airing his grievances.
He wrote on X: “Another shameful farce”.
But Davidson shared her delight at winning the event on social media and thanked those who have shown her support.
“Honestly this one came as a bit of a surprise to me,” Davidson wrote on Instagram.
“Being 3 shots back with two holes to play I got myself into a playoff after sticking it to 3 feet on the 18th hole.
“We tied the first playoff hole with birdies and then a Par on the second earned me my first win in 2.5 years!

“This also puts me in first place in the season long race that the top 5 players get 2 @epsontour exemptions each!
“I had come so close lately with a playoff loss 3 starts ago to then finishing one back last week but this is why you never give up no matter where you think you are at in a tournament!
“It’s never over until that last putt goes in on 18 so push till the end!

“Also a huge congratulations to my @flushersgc winning back to back weeks!!
“I must say I completely forgot how hard this course was since I hadn’t played it in a few years and the rain then frigid temps didnt help with that.”
She added: “Most importantly though, thank you to absolutely everyone who has supported me from my fellow competitors to all of you that I may or may not have had the chance to meet yet.
“Thank you all for helping me wade through any hate and making me feel loved.”
