Britons in Spain could be hit with travel disruptions this month.
The Foreign Office warned that strikes will be held in various parts of the country.
Spain is a popular holiday destination for some sun and culture.
Some may be planning to visit during the school holidays which take place across the country this month, so they should be aware of the latest advice.
A warning was issued for travel within the UK
The FCO said: “Road transport strikes are due to be held across Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura throughout October.
“They are due to commence at 00:00 on the 2 October and will run on 4, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25 and 28 October, ending at 24:00.
“The Government of the Canary Islands has confirmed that transportation to hospitals and medical centres will be maintained, as well as transport of medicines and other urgent supplies to guarantee the life, health and security of people.
“Significant travel disruption is expected.”
Anyone travelling to these areas should plan around the strikes.
It advised holidaymakers to get in touch with their tour operators or transport companies to find out more about how they might be impacted.
Spain has an ongoing warning as extreme heat continues in many parts of the country.
The FCO again encouraged holidaymakers to check with travel providers to see if they are affected.
This comes as Britons visiting Italy were warned of a “dangerous and unpredictable” threat.
