A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with multiple sex offences including rape.

PC Dion Arnold is charged with four counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault, the Met Police said.

He was arrested by Surrey Police on 29 March.

The charges relate to a report made earlier this year and the alleged offences are said to have happened while Arnold was off duty.

Arnold, attached to the South West Command Unit, appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody to next appear at Guildford Crown Court on 1 May.
