Second Gentleman Emhoff says Kamala Harris faces cowards “head on” – yet she REFUSES to debate Trump
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff says his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, faces cowards “head on.”
“Kamala is as tough as it comes,” he said during the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Aug. 20. “Just ask the criminals, the global gangsters and the witnesses before the Senate Judiciary Committee. She never runs from a fight.”
“She knows the best way to deal with a coward is to take him head on. Because we all know cowards are weak, and Kamala Harris can smell weakness. She doesn’t tolerate any BS. You’ve all seen that look, and you know that look I’m talking about.”
The incumbent vice president only agreed to show up on the Sept. 10 debate and a follow-up in October, the date of which remains unspecified. According to Breitbart News, she also agreed to one vice presidential debate between Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) scheduled on Oct. 1.
Because of Harris’ refusal to accept the Sept. 4 Fox News debate, Trump announced that a “tele-town hall” will be held on that date instead. Fox News anchor Sean Hannity will host the event, which will happen in Pennsylvania.
The former president took to Truth Social on Aug. 19 to announce the new event and confirm the vice president’s refusal to pick up the gauntlet. “Comrade Kamala Harris has just informed us that she will not do the Fox News debate on Sept. 4,” he wrote.
“I am not surprised by this development because I feel that she knows it is very difficult, at best, for her to defend her record setting flip-flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in. [These include] her statements that ‘there will be no fracking in Pennsylvania’ and her horrible performance on the border [as] our ‘border czar’ – where millions of criminals and people from mental institutions and terrorists have been allowed to pour into our country, totally unchecked and unvetted.”
Harris far from being tough when it comes to criminals
Contrary to her husband’s claims, Harris is actually far from being “tough.” If anything, she is better described as soft – based on how she leniently approached criminals during her time as San Francisco district attorney (DA) and California attorney general.
According to a report from the Washington Free Beacon, Harris ran advertisements in several battleground states as part of a $50 million campaign. The said ads paint her as “tough on crime” prosecutor who “put murderers and abusers behind bars” – but the truth is nowhere near that. The Free Beacon shared several instances of the now-vice president’s soft-on-crime stance. (Related: Kamala Harris remains SOFT ON CRIME despite her tough-on-crime ads.)
In 2004, Harris’ office offered a plea deal to domestic abuser Scott McAlpin – who was charged with stalking and terrorizing a woman for three years. Eight months after the plea deal, McAlpin killed the woman he was stalking and stuffed her body in the trunk of his car.
In 2005, she made a deal with Dwayne Reed, who was charged with murdering Hunter McPherson – the son of former California Secretary of State Bruce McPherson during a robbery. Despite having six prior felony convictions, Harris agreed to release Reed in exchange for his testimony against his accomplice in the murder robbery that killed the younger McPherson. Reed murdered another man eight months after testifying.
In 2006, her office granted probation to Devaughndre Broussard, who assaulted and robbed a passenger while on the San Franciso Municipal Railway. This enabled Broussard to assassinate Chauncey Bailey, editor of the Oakland Post, the following year. According to SFGate, Bailey’s 2007 killing arose from his investigation of a crime syndicate implicating the suspect’s family.
