An expert shares how to save on a cruise holiday

Lucia said: “Want to save cash on a cruise? Here’s what I’ve learned from my own trips.
“Go off-peak. Everyone’s after sunshine and smooth sailing, but if you can handle a bit of wind, the prices after summer are way better.
“I once booked a Mediterranean cruise for late September, saved a bundle, and still got the tan.”
Booking a getaway last minute can also see better deals.
Some cruise lines will slash prices in the run-up to the cruise to fill rooms.
Taking advantage of this helped the travel expert save a whopping 50 per cent herself.
Lucia continued: “Last-minute bookings can be a gold mine.
“I was in Marbella when I found a crazy good deal because someone else dropped out.
“It was half off. You’ve got to be ready to pack your bags and go, but it’s worth it.”
