Footage has emerged showing Roy Keane kicking off at a fan who filmed him during Manchester United’s win over Everton on Sunday night.

It was a straightforward evening for Erik ten Hag’s side, who picked up all three points courtesy of goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Garnacho’s goal was particularly memorable, with the Argentina international netting a brilliant overhead kick.

Keane was working for Sky Sports, who broadcasted the match on Sunday.

But video footage posted on X shows the 52-year-old being left furious by a fan in the stands.

The supporter in question opted to film Keane, instead of the match.

And the former United captain noticed the act from afar and immediately urged them to focus on the game itself.

Keane is a traditionalist, someone who has made it clear how much he despises social media.

So it’s perhaps understandable that he lost his cool, even if his former side enjoyed one of their best performances of the season.

Providing his assessment on the match, Keane praised United for the way they performed.

“It’s about their attacking players producing at important moments,” he said.

“United haven’t been scoring enough goals this season.

“They [Everton] can argue all day, its a penalty, he’s left his leg in there. Martial, I’m not his biggest fan, but he’s positive.

“It was nice to see Marcus take it and lash it in. When the second one goes in, its game over.

“United have a little bit of their swagger back, definitely.”

Keane was, however, critical after Bruno Fernandes allowed Rashford to take a penalty in the second half.

Ten Hag praised the Portugal international for his selfless gesture.

Yet Keane wasn’t happy and said: “He’s giving toffee out there to Bruno for passing on the ball for the penalty.

“Absolute bloody rubbish. Absolute rubbish coming out with that.

“Manchester United are sixth now – if you went back a few years, if you were sixth you’d be embarrassed.

“But obviously they seem happy with sixth.

“They have a long way to go. Manchester United have to be competing with the best teams.

“That’s including Liverpool, City, Arsenal, and obviously you’ve got teams like Spurs having a decent spell, Villa and of course Newcastle.

“They go to Newcastle next week – we’ll see what Manchester United turns up.

“That’s what they’re supposed to do, turn up for the big games.”

Before United face off against Newcastle on Sunday they have a tough Champions League test with Galatasaray on Wednesday night to overcome.

Defeat would end their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of Europe’s top-tier club competition.
