Roy Keane admits Jurgen Klopp will be ‘sadly missed’ after he confirmed he will leave Liverpool in the summer.
The Manchester United legend believes the German has made the right decision if he feels he needs to take a break from the game.
Liverpool broke the bombshell news on Friday morning that their long-serving manager will step down at the end of the season.
Klopp said he was running out of energy and doesn’t think he has it in him to continue in the Anfield job.

He has been in charge at Liverpool since replacing Brendan Rodgers in October 2015, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
Klopp can still add the Europa League to his trophy cabinet this season, the one piece of silverware that eludes him.
Keane has paid tribute to the 56-year-old’s impact on not only Liverpool but English football in general.
The former Republic of Ireland star says the timing is right if Klopp has doubts that he cannot continue.
Keane told ITV: “I’m not really too concerned about the announcement, it’s just I think it’s sad he’s leaving the game.
“I think he’s been an amazing manager for Liverpool, a great character for the Premier League.
“But I think he’s probably made the right decision if he thinks he needs to just have a break.
“He’ll be sadly missed. I’ve enjoyed watching him and listening to him, I think he’s been brilliant for the Premier League and no doubt he will be a huge loss.
“But I think he’s made the right decision if he feels he needs that break.”
Liverpool are still in all four competitions after reaching the final of the Carabao Cup in midweek.
They are top of the Premier League, while they have a favourable FA Cup tie at home to Norwich on Sunday.
It will be the first match since Klopp announced his decision to leave but he doesn’t want a big fuss just yet.

Klopp has sent a message to the Liverpool supporters, asking them to focus on the team and forget about him.
He said: “I really would like you to accept the decision. That would be nice.
“And then if I can ask for one more thing, after telling you don’t sing my song too early, after telling you be loud in the stadium, stuff like this, if I could ask you for one more thing it would be; don’t make these games about me, because there’s no need.
“The only thing I always wanted was the full support for the team, it’s not for me.
“I know about our relationship, I don’t need any kind of proof. We will have a moment, maybe the last matchday here or somewhere else – I mean in other countries or other competitions.

“There’s enough time to do these kinds of things. Let’s now really go for it.
“The outside world want to use this decision, laugh about it, want to disturb us. We are Liverpool, we went through harder things together.
“And you went through harder things before me. Let’s make a strength of it. That would be really cool.
“Let’s squeeze everything out of this season and have another thing to smile about when we look back in the future.”
