Ronnie O’Sullivan’s dad has posted a picture on social media on Monday of the snooker icon wearing the same clothes that he donned when he won his eighth Masters title on Sunday.

O’Sullivan became the oldest winner of the Masters on Sunday when he defeated Ali Carter 10-7.

The 48-year-old wrapped up the victory late at night and he was pictured celebrating with UFC star Paddy ‘the Baddy’ Pimblett along with his father.

O’Sullivan clearly didn’t have time to change out of his clothes from the night before tough as his father posted a morning-after picture of the snooker star still donning his black outfit from the night before.

O’Sullivan’s namesake father also confirmed that O’Sullivan was on his way to Leicester to take part in the World Grand Prix, while also taking a dig at snooker chief Barry Hearn for the hectic schedule.

He captioned the post: “Up this morning ‘he looks well eh’.

“Look at that whistle ain’t had time to take it off.

“Off to Leicester for another tournament.

“Back on the baz [Barry Hearn] earner hamster wheel.”

O’Sullivan confirmed after his Masters victory that he intended to follow through on original plans to play in the first week of the WST World Grand Prix.

However, the 23-time Triple Crown champion has that he plans to take a few weeks off after competing in Leicester.

“I’m a bit played-out, to be honest,” he said.

“I had such a strong push September-October-November December, I really went hard at every tournament.

“I look at the first four months as the main part of my season. I put everything into that and I did better than I thought I would do.

“Subconsciously you think, I was quite content with that. It’s hard to keep motivating yourself. It really is. This game is too hard.

“I’m going to take two months off now. I’ll probably just play next week because it’s 32 players. I’ve earned my way to get in that tournament.

“But I’ll just swerve all the other tournaments now. I feel like I want a break.

O’Sullivan faces off against Pang Junxu on Tuesday evening with £380,000 up for grabs for the winner this week.

But he’ll have his eyes set on winning the World Championship in May to complete a clean sweep of the game’s biggest events for the first time in his illustrious career.

Winning the World Championship would see O’Sullivan clinch £1million in prize money from the three majors.
