Chelsea fans have blasted Raheem Sterling after the England international missed a huge chance in their Premier League clash with Wolves on Sunday.
The England international won the ball in the opposition half and had only Jose Sa to beat.
Sterling could also have passed to Nicholas Jackson and Cole Palmer, who were both high up with him.
Yet the former Liverpool and Manchester City star could only shoot straight at Sa, spurning a glorious opportunity in the process.
Chelsea fans have now fumed at the winger on social media, with one user saying: “OMG RAHEEM STERLING THATS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE YOU HAVE TO PASS!!!!!!!!!”
A second said: “GET STERLING OUT MY CLUB NOW.”
A third stated: “Absolutely shambolic from Sterling. Why hasn’t he passed it…”
“Done with Sterling. That’s one of the most selfish plays I’ve ever seen in my whole entire goddamn life in any f*****g sport,” were the words of a fourth fan.
A fifth vented: “Sterling oh my god if you were playing for my club I’d lose my mind.”
A sixth said: “Sterling has to pass it here. Very selfish.”
And a seventh ranted: “Sterling doesn’t even fit into the project of youngsters with the high potential.
“There’s no reason this person should still be at this club start of next season.”
Chelsea have gone into the fixture against Wolves on a high after beating Everton on penalties to make the final of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
But their form in the Premier League has left much to be desired, with the Blues winning just six matches so far.
Meanwhile, before the game, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was quizzed on Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku.
He said he was looking forward to having the pair available, with the duo both named on the bench.
“All players after a big period out, they are desperate to be involved,” he said.
“They can be involved, but at which level?
“It’s easy to say ‘I want to play’ but we are competing, and it’s serious, the competition.

“After six months, like Nkunku and like Lavia, they need to understand that to be involved they need to train really, really hard every day.
“They need to make an impact every time they go on the pitch. It’s not like we are playing pre-season games.
“The player needs to understand that it’s not a charity thing, we’re not playing for a joke.
“We need to win. Sometimes it’s difficult for people to understand the environment of the players.”
Wolves counterpart Gary O’Neil said before the game that he wanted a complete performance from his side.

“(Chelsea have) got really good quality,” he said.
“They look like a side who are starting to understand what the manager wants from them.
“(They’re) good with the ball, got good attacking talent so even if they’re not at their free-flowing best they’ve got players who can produce good moments, one-v-ones.
“So it’ll need to be a complete performance from us, which we’ve managed to produce a couple of times at home already against big sides but it will need to be again.”
