A Ryanair plane has been swarmed by police upon landing, raising fears that a person could be carrying a bomb.
The aircraft, which is currently stationed at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, arrived from Porto in Portugal, just before 11am.
Passengers have now been evacuated.
The BSCA spokesperson said: “This Tuesday morning, shortly before 11am, a bomb threat was reported on a flight from Porto.”

They added: “The plane landed as planned at Charleroi Airport, where it was parked away from normal operations.”
It is believed that 166 passengers are onboard the flight.
A 500-metre security perimeter was established, which includes the closure of the only runway and the national road behind it, according to local media reports.
A Ryanair Spokesman has since confirmed to GB News that the aircraft is being prepared for return to service.

The statement read: “Ryanair was informed of a security threat on flight FR6313 from Faro to Brussels Charleroi today, 13th May.
“The aircraft landed normally at Charleroi as planned.
“Passengers have been disembarked and the aircraft is being prepared for return to service.
“We sincerely apologise to any passengers affected.”

Earlier this year, a travel advisory, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) warned holidaymakers that terrorists are “likely” to attempt attacks in Belgium.
The warning came following ongoing security concerns in the European nation, which has experienced several terrorist incidents in recent years.
Holidaymakers were warned that potential attacks could strike “indiscriminately” across Belgium, including areas visited by tourists.
In October 2023, a terrorism-related shooting in Brussels resulted in two fatalities and one serious injury.
