Peter Andre sent his well wishes to friend and TV legend Ant McPartlin after the news of his son’s birth was announced and noted that he and Declan Donnelly could be raising the “next generation” of TV presenters.
Both Andre and McPartlin have recently welcomed new additions into their household over the last couple of months, with the Mysterious Girl singer welcoming his daughter Arabella on April 2 alongside his wife Emily MacDonagh.
McPartlin and Corbett announced the arrival of their son on Instagram last week and have been inundated with support and congratulations from their loved ones, with Andre offering some words of wisdom.
Sharing his support, Andre told OK! magazine: “I hear congratulations are in order for Ant McPartlin and his wife Anne-Marie who recently welcomed a baby boy, Wilder – cool name.
“Welcome to the dad club – it’s a beautiful thing. His best pal Dec also had a baby boy two years ago… Maybe they’ll set them up as the next generation of Ant and Dec?”
The comment from Andre comes after the presenting duo – who have been on screen since 1994 – decided to take a break from their ITV show Saturday Night Takeaway last month to focus on raising their children.
McPartlin and Corbett kept the majority of their pregnancy private, before posting a sweet black-and-white image to announce the arrival of Wilder and give fans a small glimpse of their son.
The image saw Ant cuddling his bundle of joy and revealing a family tree tattoo, with the names of his two stepdaughters on either side and their dogs, Milo and Bumble.
He penned: “Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick McPartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”
Many of McPartlin’s TV friends commented on the post to congratulate the couple, with Davina McCall writing: “Arggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!! This is AMAZING !!!! Congratulations to ALL of you.”

Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon wrote: “Awwwww darling I’m so happy for you both! Baby shares the same birthday as my mummy! Can’t wait to meet bubba and to celebrate soon! Love you both.”
Amanda Holden expressed: “Oh my gosh, this is just the most amazing news. Congratulations.”
“Congratulations… welcome to the world Wilder… such beautiful news…” Holly Willoughby noted before Tony Bellew added: “Ah mate congratulations,” alongside blue love heart emojis. (sic)
When McPartlin announced the pregnancy back in February, the 48-year-old said he was “beyond delighted” with the news that Corbett was pregnant.

He previously described his wife as “a beautiful soul”, saying: “We’re very happy… I’m in the best place I’ve been in my life to be honest with you.”
His baby news comes after Andre and MacDonagh finally settled on a name for their newborn daughter following weeks of uncertainty and disagreements.
“It’s taken a while but after lots of deliberation, we’ve finally decided. Arabella Rose Andréa,” MacDonagh wrote on Instagram alongside some sweet pictures of the baby.
