Anthony Kim has given his most in-depth interview about his 12-year-long absence from the public eye, admitting he fell victim to ‘scam artists’ and also spoke out on the reported £8million insurance policy.
The American golfer was once seen as one of the brightest young stars on the PGA Tour when he first emerged before injury issues began to plague his career.
He disappeared from the sport altogether in 2012 with wild theories being spread online about his whereabouts in the decade since.
Kim has now returned to the sport as a wildcard with LIV Golf, making his debut in Saudi Arabia last month.

The three-time PGA Tour winner had managed to avoid unanswered questions over his long absence from professional golf in his first two events with LIV.
But he’s now given an insight into what his life was like in the last decade in a sit-down interview with LIV announcer David Feherty.
Kim alluded to addiction issues and fell out of love with golf until his wife wanted to learn how to play.
“I’ve had some very dark moments,” he said.
“I’ve had some very low moments. I felt very alone, even when there’s a million people around.
“I needed to get my mind on straight and figure out what my purpose was on this planet.”
He added: “I was around some bad people.
“People that took advantage of me. Scam artists. And when you’re 24 or 25, even 30 years old, you don’t realise the snakes that are living under your roof.
“But through the grace of God, I’m here. I’m able to tell my story, hopefully inspire other people.”
The 38-year-old also spoke out on the reported £8million insurance policy that is said to have kept him from playing professional golf.

“That wasn’t the case at all. I had multiple, multiple surgeries in a few years.
“And my body is still not what it used to be.
