A missing mum who has not been in touch with her family since November has not been seen in person since October, investigating officers have revealed.
Concerns had been raised by her family, who had not heard from her since Saturday 4 November 2023.
Police Scotland has issued several appeals in the search for Ms Smith, with officers checking a potential sighting in the Slateford area of the capital between 21 and 24 November.
However, in an update on Wednesday, the force said the last known confirmed sighting of Ms Smith was Tuesday 10 October 2023.
Officers have hit the streets and have been distributing and pinning up posters in the local area in an effort to remind people she remains missing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Sky News: “This remains a missing person inquiry and extensive inquiries are ongoing to locate Khasha.
“Her family is understandably worried at not seeing or hearing from her and they want her home safe and well.
“We would urge anyone who has seen Khasha or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.”
Ms Smith is believed to often visit the Gorgie, Broomhouse and Wester Hailes areas of Edinburgh.
She is around 5ft tall, slim, and has long blonde hair and blue eyes.
She also has tattoos, one of which is visible on her right wrist and says “forever”.
