Liverpool hammered Norwich City 5-2 on Sunday to book their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Reds were playing for the first time since Jurgen Klopp rocked the footballing world by announcing he’d be departing the club at the end of the season.
Norwich, as a result, were always going to have their work cut out.
And Liverpool showed why they’re one of the best teams in the country with a ruthless performance at Anfield.

Curtis Jones put the hosts ahead in the 16th minute, heading home following a brilliant cross from James McConnell.
Norwich, however, were able to level just six minutes later through Ben Gibson.
Liverpool went ahead for a second time through Darwin Nunez, with the Uruguay international continuing his recent impressive form.
Diogo Jota scored their third, with Virgil van Dijk powering in a header and Ryan Gravenberch also on target to ensure Liverpool keep their hopes of a quadruple alive – with Borja Sainz scoring a terrific consolation for the visitors.

It’s always intriguing to see how players react when it’s confirmed a manager is off.
But Klopp will be delighted with the way Liverpool stars got the job done against Norwich, despite the emotional atmosphere inside the ground.
Certainly, this group look like a bunch that are eager to give Klopp the dream send-off he deserves.
Liverpool, when they play like this, are unstoppable. Their fluidity in attack is a joy to watch and players such as Nunez and Jota are always ready to step up and deliver when needed.
If they’re able to maintain this consistency between now and the end of the season, then trophies will likely follow.
Nunez no longer a player to be mocked
Nunez has had to contend with plenty of mocking online ever since his move from Benfica to Liverpool in 2022.
But the Uruguay international has flourished of late and was brilliant again as Norwich were put to the sword.
Nunez took his goal excellently, finishing with aplomb following some good work from Conor Bradley.
He now has three goals from his last three matches and is, after a bit of a wait, living up to his potential.
Whoever manages Liverpool next after Klopp won’t need a new forward if Nunez can continue to plunder in the goals and silence his critics.
Kids deliver for Liverpool
Klopp recently said he was happy about Liverpool having an injury crisis because it’s allowed him to place his faith in youth.
And the club’s young players were majestic against Norwich, vindicating the faith and trust of their manager in the process.
McConnell was mobbed by his team-mates after his brilliant cross for Jones’ goal, with the 19-year-old set for a big future ahead.
Bradley was similarly impressive, too, assisting Nunez and producing a slick and stylish performance.
The next generation looks ready for here and now, something that’s bound to excite Liverpool fans as they look to finish the season on a high.

David Wagner’s side have blown hot and cold in the Championship this season.
Yet Norwich should play with more confidence now given how they scored twice at Anfield – something that’s no easy feat.
