Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have reached a temporary joint child custody agreement, according to filed court documents.

Jonas filed for divorce from Turner last month after four years of marriage and two daughters.

Following the public announcement of the “amicable” divorce, Turner proceeded to sue the Jonas Brothers singer claiming he was refusing to hand over the children’s passports, accusing him of “abducting” them and preventing them from returning to the UK.

The Game Of Thrones star‘s earlier court documents, filed in the Southern District of New York, said the couple’s children, born in 2020 and 2022, have been wrongfully retained in New York City since 20 September from “their habitual residence” in England.

Jonas, 34 disputed that claim, adding that the Florida court where the divorce was filed “restricts both parents from relocating the children” and that Turner, 27, was aware of that order.

His representatives then said that if Jonas had handed over the children’s passports it would have been “in violation of the Florida court order”.

The custody agreement means British-born Turner will get their children Willa, three, and Delphine, one, from 9 October until 21 October.

The girls, who have dual citizenship, will then see their father from 21 October to 2 November, with a rotating schedule of custody for future dates.

The order allows Turner to return to the UK whenever she has the children. Last month, Jonas and Turner had agreed to temporarily keep them in New York.

The celebrity couple had made England their permanent home in April, partly because of a desire to have the children educated in the country, according to court documents.
