Jet2 has shared travel advice for anyone planning to go to Greece this month.
It warned of potential disruptions if travelling to and from Athens due to wildfires. This comes as weather across Europe has caused more congestion.
Wildfires are more likely in Greece and across Europe during the hot summer months, and Athens has faced devastation this week as fire ripped through the suburbs.
A third of Athens forests have been wiped out by wildfires brought on by temperatures reaching as high as 40C.

Those in the area are urged to be careful and follow advice when moving through the city.
Airline Jet2 has shared further useful guidance for its customers. It said it is watching the situation closely.
However, holidaymakers should give themselves plenty of time as they could be disrupted when travelling to the airports.
The airline said: “We are aware of the wildfires affecting an area of Athens and are monitoring the situation closely.
“As it currently stands, Athens airport is still open and we are planning to operate our flights as planned.
“Please allow extra time for your journey to the airport, as there may be road closures in place.”
This comes as tourists were informed of potential congestion and flight delays due to extreme weather in Europe. This affected flights yesterday.
Jet2 said: “We’d like to let you know that due to air traffic control congestion as a result of weather across Europe [on] 14th August 2024, some flights may experience a delay.
