Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have launched their first-ever Christmas Market flights to Gdansk, Poland, marking a festive expansion of their winter programme.
The new twice-weekly services departed from Birmingham and Manchester Airports on Friday, November 29.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays until December 23, 2024, offering holidaymakers flexible options for experiencing the Polish city’s seasonal charm.
With just over two hours of flight, the route provides easy access to one of Europe’s most picturesque Christmas destinations.

The Gdansk Christmas Market, renowned as one of Europe’s most beautiful, transforms the Targ Węglowy area into a magical winter wonderland.
Visitors can explore fairy tale illuminations and fairground attractions while browsing handmade gifts and sampling local delicacies.
The historic city offers additional attractions beyond the market, including the Museum of the Second World War, Gdansk Old Town, and the Dlugi Targ (Long Market).
The city’s waterfront location and rich history provide plenty of sightseeing opportunities for festive travellers.
This winter season marks Jet2’s biggest Christmas Markets programme to date, with over 100,000 seats available across their network.
The expansion represents a 30 per cent capacity increase compared to Winter 23/24.
Beyond Gdansk, the airline serves nine other festive destinations including Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Krakow, Malmo, Prague and Vienna.
These routes operate from 11 UK airports, including Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted.

Looking ahead, Jet2 plans to expand its Gdansk programme with new flights from Newcastle International Airport starting November 27, 2025.

Gdansk Airport CEO Tomasz Kloskowski praised the service, noting the city is “beautiful in winter” with “one of the most beautiful” Christmas markets in Europe.
