Jeremy Clarkson has waged a fresh war of words with nature enthusiast Chris Packham following the 63-year-old’s moans about singer Taylor Swift.
After claiming it’s “hard to keep up” with Packham’s “pontifications”, Clarkson, 64, explained in his latest column that the Springwatch star recently had a pop at Swift’s flying habits.
The global superstar often comes under criticism for using a private jet across the world for her gigs while promoting a green mantra to her fanbase.
However, by taking aim at Swift, Clarkson felt it was the evidence to prove that he “simply doesn’t understand the real world”.
“Packham is reasonably well known among the nation’s ramblers and bingo enthusiasts, but he has no knowledge of what it’s like to be properly famous,” Clarkson mocked. “So famous that you are physically mobbed by a braying hoard wherever you are in the world.”
Clarkson then reeled off all of the reasons why Swift would face an impossible task if she were to use a commercial airline to travel to each of her gigs.

From selfie-hunters to delayed flights and odd landing points, Clarkson summarised why Packham’s suggestion is unfeasible.
He added while writing for The Sun: “So what Mr Packham is doing by kind of ordering her to fly with the masses is tantamount to bullying. Because she can’t.”
Mocking the BBC presenter’s level of fame once more, Clarkson concluded his point by teasing he “hopes one day [Packham] releases an album that propels him to global superstardom.
“Because then we’d see how long it’d take him to ask his agent to book a G5.”

Speaking to the Mirror in May, Packham first took aim at Swift’s flying habits after she attempted to silence a social media user who logged the take-offs and landings of her jets.
The naturalist fumed: “We know that private jets are the single greatest contributor when it comes to jet aviation fuel and the least efficient because they’re carrying one person.
“And so he called [Swift] out and she threatened to sue him. And I just thought, ‘You really missed the trick there, Taylor’. What you should have said is, ‘You’re right, times have moved on. I’ve got to change my practice. I’m going to sell my private jets’.
“And that would have been such a powerful thing for her to say to an audience. And I mean, her audience is primarily a young audience, isn’t it? I mean, you can’t say she’s responsible for climate breakdown.
“But she’s an icon. And as a consequence of that, she should be leading.”
Clarkson, on the other hand, is also no stranger to being on the receiving end of Packham’s public outbursts.
