Jeremy Clarkson in brutal Sadiq Khan dig following ‘misplaced ego’ New Year’s display: ‘Oust him!’

Jeremy Clarkson has continued to publicly ridicule London Mayor Sadiq Khan following a series of social media posts targeting the Labour Party member.

This time, Clarkson has penned a no-holds-barred jibe aimed at Khan following London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

Khan has been criticised by many following the fireworks and drone display off the Thames as it began with a light show which etched a 20-second message in the sky.

“The Mayor of London presents…” beamed across London’s skyline before 15 minutes of carefully orchestrated pops and bangs lit up the sky.

Now, a week on from the display, Clarkson has unleashed his damning verdict on the spectacle in a new column.

In it, Clarkson was musing over the butterfly effect and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas as well as the Civil War in Yemen.

Clarkson mentioned how Yemeni rebels are showing solidarity with Hamas by attacking ships off the coast which may have an association with Israel.

As he went on to reel off how the rebels’ behaviour can cause a ripple effect across the globe, he turned his attention to Khan.

Clarkson quipped: “On New Year’s Eve, for example, the Mayor of London’s giant and entirely misplaced ego caused him to announce, using drones, that he was personally responsible for the fireworks display.

“This small detail will hopefully cause him to be ousted from his job and replaced by someone sensible who reduces knife crime, drops the war on motorists, puts business first and urges the police to cut someone’s arms off if they’ve glued themselves to the road.

“This would send ripples of joy around the world and pretty soon San Francisco would be mended, the Donbas would be peaceful and you’d go on holiday next year to Aden,” he added in The Times.

Clarkson’s latest tirade comes just weeks after he urged “people of abroad” to avoid London while Khan is mayor and a month after he said Khan was “f***ing up” the capital.

At the beginning of December, Clarkson fumed on X, formerly Twitter: “I have travelled a great deal over the years and have always said London is the best city in the world. But Kahn is seriously f***ing it up.”

When a follower protested blame lied with the Tory Party, Clarkson doubled down: “No. The Tories are f***ing everything else up. London is down to Kahn. The man’s an a**e.”

He followed this up on December 15 with a separate post which read: “People of abroad. Do NOT come to London until we can get rid of our clown mayor.”

Clarkson’s spat with Khan dates back years, with the former Grand Tour host famously telling the mayor to “f*** off” over cycle lane lanes in London’s Holland Park almost five years ago.

Fans will be able to see more of Clarkson on-screen when Clarkson’s Farm returns for a third season later this year.

Amazon has also already greenlit a fourth season of the hit farming series for next year too.
