Jake Paul believes age is an ‘equaliser’ with regards to his fight with Mike Tyson as he prepares to battle Mike Perry on Saturday night.
Paul and Tyson had been due to face off on July 20. However, due to an ulcer flare up, their showdown has now been delayed.
Fans are now looking forward to seeing Paul go up against Perry this weekend, with millions set to tune in.
The 27-year-old continues to bat away criticism of the gap between himself and Tyson. Tyson will be 58 by the time their bout takes place in November.

And Paul expressed a belief that Tyson’s age is an ‘equaliser’ and something that levels the playing field.
“I view it as, say it to Mike Tyson’s face and see what he does to you,” he told The Pat McAffee Show.
“The one reporter who was discrediting him, he was about to jump over the press conference table and beat the dude’s ass.
“We aren’t Mike Tyson’s dad. We don’t control Mike Tyson. He’s his own boss.

“If he wants to go in there and make tens of millions of dollars, and potentially end my run, then who are we to stop him?
“This guy has been doing this his whole entire life. He’s a natural-born killer, and this is what he loves, and maybe this is what he needs.
“So, yeah, the age is a thing, but I believe it’s the equaliser because he has more experience, but I have the youth, and the speed, maybe, to be able to put him down.”
Should Paul lose to Perry, then his hopes of fighting Tyson will go up in flames.

But Paul insists he’s willing to take that risk, despite millions being on the line.
“A lot of people think I’m crazy for pivoting to this; why Mike Perry, why now, why take the risk, you could lose the biggest payday of your life against Mike Tyson if you lose to Mike Perry who is a violent killer, a bare-knuckle, undefeated legend over there,” he added.
“He takes punches like they’re nothing, he’s fast, he’s athletic, he hits hard, he’s a brawler, and I can’t take that lightly.
“I need the experience, I need to stay active.

“So when Mike Tyson pulled out, it was like, ‘Who can I fight to keep this July 20 date alive?’ Because Amanda Serrano, Ashton ‘H20’ Sylve, the whole entire undercard, we wanted to keep the event alive, and Mike Perry instantly was the first name that popped up.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, he’s amazing. He’s like a Mike (Tyson) appetizer.’ (Perry’s) violent, comes forward, scary, doesn’t give a frig but he doesn’t care.
“I would like that same attitude he has, and it’s a good warm-up for Mike Tyson.”
