The BRITs was back on Saturday night, with the biggest current names in music taking to the stage to receive their accolades.
Musician Raye was predicted to win big, and the 26-year-old did just that, sweeping the stage to collect several awards throughout the night.
Raye was nominated for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Act and Best R&B Act and as expected, she took to the stage plenty of times after being crowned winner.
Raye has broken records with the nominations and even went on to beat some tough competition by winning Album of the Year for My 21st Century Blues, which was released in February last year.
Last year’s awards saw Harry Styles victorious in four categories thanks to his album Harry’s House, but Raye soon surpassed that figure and ended up bursting into tears on stage as she collected her Album of the Year award.
As she stood in front of the audience to claim her sixth award, fans beamed as the singer-song writer’s grandmother joined her.

“You just don’t understand what this means to me,” she sobbed before going on to thank her producers, her grandmother, and everyone else invovled in her success.
“I’m so sorry, I want to thank all the writers who are part of this… I am ugly crying on national television,” she continued.
“I’m so proud of this album, I’m in love with music, all I ever wanted to be was an artist… and now I’m an artist with Album of the Year.
“Thank you so much to the BRITs, this is too much, it’s too much, it really is.”

Host Maya Jama admitted moments later she was “trying not to well up,” and that she was very happy for the singer.
Her winning album was the first she had released since leaving record label Polydor after the company refused to release the album. Some fans of the awards were in full support of her as they reminded viewers of this fact.
However, some deemed the show “a fix”. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer fumed: “Who the heck is RAYE. Sick of hearing her name now. This has to be a fix. #BRITs #britawards.”
“What an absolute fix. Should have been named the Raye awards. #brits,” another complained.

“The Raye awards had some good performances tonight #BRITs,” a third echoed, while another shared: “Every year the #BRITs gets worse and worse. Makes you realise how s***e music is nowadays!”
However, there were plenty of fans defending Raye’s success, with one writing: “Raye winning everything at the #Brits well deserved.”
“Love this for Raye bless her #BRITs,” another penned while one viewer enthused: “RAYE SWEEP WHAT DID I SAY, SO SO SO DESERVED #BRITs.”
“RAYE in bits after winning her SIXTH Brit award of the night, and receiving it with her grandma is so wholesome,” (sic) someone else remarked.
