Gerwyn Price has been told to expect a fine from the PDC for walking out of the Players Championship in Wigan on Monday.
Price had progressed to the third round after wins over Karel Sedlacek and Matthew Dennant.
A tougher test awaited in the next round against Northern Irishman Brendan Dolan, who opened up a 4-2 lead over Price.
But Price incredibly walked out of the match before it was over with Dolan given a bye into the next round.

The Welshman explained later on Instagram why he forfeited the match at Robin Park Tennis Centre, slamming the conditions at the arena.
He wrote: “Absolutely pathetic conditions, travel all the way to Wigan to play in a professional game and we have to play in less than amateur conditions.
“Never have (a) ever given a game up, well that’s me out tomorrow as well. Gutted because my game was really good today and I rely on these events so much.”
The PDC noted after Price’s withdrawal that the world No 5 left the venue “because he felt it was cold”.
That might not be good enough to escape punishment from the darts governing body, according to British darts player Matthew Edgar.
The 37-year-old feels Price will have to deal with the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) having not completed his match against Dolan.
“This is going to land Gerwyn Price in a bit of trouble with the DRA,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“It’s likely to going find him having a fine, due to the ruling that you must complete all fixtures to the best of your ability.
“This rule has been enforced before and it’s been enforced in different ways.
“When we look to the most recent enforcement of it, it was just sort of a formal warning about future behaviour.

“But I believe that was with players who are less known to the system as such. It happened to me once.
“The player walked off when I was 5-0 up and I got the win, 6-0.
It’s not the first time Price has been in trouble with the PDC as he was fined a total of £21,500 for his actions at the Grand Slam of Darts.
That figure was reduced to £11,500 on appeal after his controversial clash with Gary Anderson.

“The player then got a fine to the minimum prize money of that round, which at the time was £500.
“I’d expect to see the same sort of thing here with Gerwyn Price [potentially £1,000].”
Price is unlikely to be more comfortable this evening for the third Premier League night of the season.
He goes up against teen sensation Luke Littler in the first round and is yet to defeat the 17-year-old in two previous attempts.
