Erik ten Hag has vowed to keep winning trophies – regardless of whether he stays as Manchester United manager or not.
The Dutchman went into today’s FA Cup final clash with Manchester City with noise over his position growing in volume.
United have, according to widespread reports, sounded out potential successors – with Mauricio Pochettino, Kieran McKenna and Thomas Tuchel some of the names in the frame to take over.
But the Red Devils eased some of the pressure on the 54-year-old, with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo consigning City to defeat.

In the immediate aftermath of his side’s win, Ten Hag admitted he was in the dark over his future.
But, speaking at his post-match press conference, the 54-year-old vowed to keep winning trophies – regardless of what happens.
“Two trophies in two seasons and three finals… not bad,” he said, having guided United to the Carabao Cup and FA Cup final last year.
“If they don’t want me anymore, I’ll go somewhere else and win trophies.
“That’s what I do.”
Ten Hag also bristled when told that United have been holding talks with other managers behind his back.
“I am here to win and I want to build a team,” he said. “My whole managerial career I have won games and trophies.
“You see in the last decade, there were not many finals, many trophies, not many young players coming through the first team with high potential.
“I don’t know this [about INEOS talking to other managers without his knowledge]. I can’t answer this question.
“Maybe you have sources, I don’t have them.”
United have been infuratingly inconsistent this season.
But Ten Hag, when quizzed on his players being good one moment and bad the next, took aim at that asssessment.
“You don’t understand managing a football team,” he added.
“When the players aren’t there, I can’t coach or train them, they won’t develop.
“I really enjoyed this final. Especially the way we played. If you play in this level against the best team in the world, I am happy to see that.”
