Max Verstappen cruised to glory in the first race of the season in Bahrain last weekend ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez.
There have been suggestions the 26-year-old could leave Red Bull while the Horner situation rumbles on.
Verstappen has been linked with Mercedes, who have a seat free for 2025 after Lewis Hamilton confirmed he’d be leaving for Ferrari.
And the Red Bull driver refused to rule out the possiblity of potentially pursuing a new challenge in the future.
He did, however, insist he was happy at the current moment in time.
“The thing is nobody would have ever seen that Lewis [Hamilton] would move to Ferrari,” he said when asked about possibly crossing the divide.
“That’s not related to F1, it’s just general life.

“You never know what happens around you or what might influence you. You can never say 100 per cent what is going to be.
“But I also don’t think about it too much – I’m very relaxed.
“I’m very happy with the team, the performance is there, there is no reason to leave.”
Mercedes chief Toto Wolff was asked about potentially signing Verstappen.
The Austrian said: “The market is very interesting.
“For a driver the most important thing is to be with whoever is fastest, and there is no reason now for Max to leave Red Bull anytime soon.
“But we’ll see what happens.”
Hamilton, meanwhile, believes Verstappen leaving Red Bull for Mercedes wouldn’t make sense.
“I think my move has shown that anything’s possible,” he said.
“There’s going to be a really interesting next six months or so. I don’t have an extra scoop.

“I’m sure Max is on the list [to replace me], but I’m pretty sure he’s tied up, and also I couldn’t see why you would leave the car that was that good.”
He added: “I think if you run a team, you want to have the best driver, and you want to be the team that’s got the driver that brings in the eyeballs, brings the sponsorships, and he is one of those.
“So I understand it, but it wouldn’t make sense, I would say, for him. But it’ll be interesting to see.”
