Manchester United’s poor start to the new Premier League season continued on Sunday as they lost 3-0 to Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils went into the showdown hoping to bounce back after a 2-1 defeat to Brighton last time out.
But United were abysmal against Liverpool, with Luis Diaz bagging a brace and Mohamed Salah also finding the net to give Arne Slot’s team all three points.
GB News now takes a look at five talking points from the match.
Casemiro is finished
Man Utd were thumped 3-0 by fierce rivals Liverpool in their Premier League clash on Sunday

There’s no denying that Casemiro is one of the best holding players of his generation. His trophy cabinet from his time at Real Madrid is proof of that.
But the Brazil international is finished now. He made two costly errors against Liverpool and, though hooked at the break, was lucky to make it through the first half.
United offloaded Scott McTominay this summer but there’s a sense the wrong player was shown the door. Casemiro is a shadow of the player he once was and the sooner he leaves Old Trafford, the better.

Erik ten Hag back in trouble
Casemiro was awful as Man Utd crashed to defeat against Liverpool on Sunday
PA
United decided to stick with Erik ten Hag after he steered the club to FA Cup glory last season.
But that decision looks to be the wrong one with each passing match. With just one win from three this season (or four, if you count the Community Shield), the Dutchman is certainly back under pressure.
United were outcoached, outfought and outran as they let Liverpool run riot. Ten Hag looks out of his depth and Sir Jim Ratcliffe could yet decide to wield the axe.

Liverpool’s front three amazing
Liverpool opted to sign Federico Chiesa late in the summer transfer window.
But good luck to the Italy international when it comes to getting into Slot’s team. Liverpool’s front three, at the current moment in time, look unstoppable.
Salah and Diaz were impressive, with the duo looking dangerous every time they touched the ball. Diogo Jota’s movement was key to opening up space and Chiesa’s chances of being a regular starter don’t seem good. Why twist when you can stick?
LATEST SPORTS NEWS:
Liverpool are title contenders
There seems to be a bizarre consensus that Liverpool can’t win the Premier League title because Jurgen Klopp isn’t in the dugout.
What nonsense that is.
Liverpool look like genuine contenders. They have won three, scored seven goals and not conceded any. Only a fool would write them off.
Marcus Rashford has to be dropped
Marcus Rashford produced another flat display as Man Utd lost to Liverpool at Old Trafford

There were boos in the second half when Ten Hag opted to bring off Alejandro Garnacho, with Amad Diallo coming on.
But the player that really should have been hooked is Marcus Rashford.
The England international’s confidence looks below zero and hopes of him ever living up to his potential are fading fast. There’s a player in Rashford – yet United seem unable to coax the best from their academy graduate.
