Britons are set to bask in even hotter conditions this month after some parts of the UK are expected to see soaring temperatures of 25C later this week.
Two Iberian plumes are set to sweep Britain in May with the first hitting from tomorrow, Thursday, May 9 until May 12, according to the latest weather maps.
Temperatures are expected to reach the high-teens, with conditions set to be higher than 20C in south east England.
Jim Dale, of British Weather Services, said he expects conditions to be “very pleasant” this weekend.

Temperatures could top 23C in the south and east of England, including Peterborough, Norwich, London and Canterbury.
In the Midlands, conditions are predicted to be between 20C and 22C.
According to the Met Office, this weekend’s hot weather is due to high pressure pushing north throughout the week and bringing warmer and drier conditions after the bank holiday weekend washout.

Met Office meteorologist Amy Bokota said: “High pressure is forecast to dominate the UK for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
“High pressure brings dry and settled weather and with warm air sat over the UK this will give some pleasant warm temperatures.
“There is good confidence that high pressure will last until the weekend.
“Temperatures are expecting to build over the next few days, with a likely peak of Saturday.”

However, ahead of the second blast, conditions will become “changeable” with some rainy spells.
The Met Office said: “After Sunday, the weather is expected to switch back to become changeable across the country, with further spells of rain and showers expected.
“Rainfall amounts could be above average in most areas. It is also possible that rain will be heavy at times, and any showers could turn thundery. Temperatures are also expected to fall closer to average for May.”
