Bobby Brazier dealt major blow to Strictly hopes hours before Week Seven routine as new data emerges

Bobby Brazier has been dealt a rather unfortunate blow to his chances of lifting the Glitterball Trophy, according to new data obtained by GB News.

The soap star has long been one of the frontrunners to emerge from the competition victorious thanks to his show-stopping displays with Dianne Buswell.

However, much like Nigel Harman experienced last weekend, Brazier’s chances of becoming Strictly champion and lifting the Glitterball Trophy have been dented by one of his co-stars.

Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has now sky-rocketed to the top of the market to win this year’s Strictly following a leaderboard-topping display last week.

She and pro partner Vito Coppola have now left Brazier and Buswell in their wake as their odds of glory have been slashed for the second week in a row to just 6/4 while Brazier’s chances have been extended to 2/1.

James Leyfield of said of the shift in the market and blow to Brazier’s hopes: “After her near-perfect 38 out of 40 score last weekend, Ellie has gone one better this week by leapfrogging Bobby on Strictly Come Dancing betting sites.

Bobby Brazier is no longer the favourite to bag the Glitterball

“She has gone from 9/4 to 6/4 favourite to win the series, while Bobby has gone in the opposite direction and is now 2/1. Ellie has put in some sublime performances of late to match her newly established position at the head of the market, while Bobby could only manage a 30-point score last weekend.

“He and Nigel both danced Cha Cha Chas, and Nigel also scored 30 points, which hasn’t done his price any favours either.

“The star remains third favourite to triumph, at 7/2, and he is the only other contestant in single figures.”

Harman, Leach and Brazier remain in a league of their own when it comes to bookmakers’ predictions as Leyfield went on to discuss the other stars who remain in the competition.

He further explained: “Layton Williams continues to impress on the dance floor, but his high scores aren’t being matched on specials betting sites. He is 10/1 to win the Glitterball but has recently been promoted to fourth-favourite.

“The two Angelas, Scanlon and Rippon, are next in the market, but there is a big gap between the pair. Scanlon has slipped to 12/1 with William Hill, from a best price of 10/1 at the beginning of the week, while Rippon remains 33/1 with most UK bookmakers.”

Scanlon’s hopes of winning won’t have been helped by the fact she’s taking on the Samba on Saturday night – a routine that new research suggests could lead to a shock Strictly exit.

When it comes to Week Seven of the competition, it’s Adam Thomas who’s the odds-on favourite to go, something fans predicted earlier this week after they slammed BBC bosses’ “mean” routine choice for him straight after a dance-off.

Thomas is 4/6 to be sent home while former tennis pro Annabel Croft is close behind at 9/2, and Scanlon had her odds slashed to 5/1.

Guru-Murthy is then fourth-favourite to be sent home at 11/2 with Leyfield going on to mention: “Adam’s time in the competition could be up this weekend if the prices on betting apps are anything to go by. The soap star is just 4/6 to be the next to go, and he is 125/1 to make one of the biggest reality TV comebacks of all time and win the Glitterball.

“Annabel Croft is 50/1 with most UK bookmakers to win the show, and despite being half the odds of Krishnan Guru-Murthy (100/1 with Bet365) for victory, she is 9/2 second favourite to be the sixth celebrity to exit the dance floor.

“Despite his triple-figure odds to win the series, Krishnan is 11/2 fourth favourite to go next, sandwiched in between the two Angelas. Krishnan has been near the bottom of the market throughout the series, but appears to have become somewhat of a fan favourite.

“Anyone hopeful of a huge shock exit this weekend might like to put some loose change on either Nigel or Layton, who are both 150/1 chances for an early departure.”
