Ruben Amorim is introducing a higher standard at Manchester United

Since taking charge after Erik ten Hag’s departure, Amorim has demonstrated an uncompromising approach to squad management.

The tracker generates an extraordinary five million data points during each 90-minute period, delivering complete accuracy in its measurements.

This comprehensive data collection allows coaching staff to make informed decisions about players while sessions are still in progress.

Paul McKernan, STATSports’ managing director, revealed: “You can make decisions on the players based on data you see in front of you. Not waiting until after the session and downloading the data and saying ‘I wish Mason Mount had run a little bit further or done a few more sprints, or actually he did too much today’.”

The vests will be used to track players during training and matches

The Portuguese coach has been explicit about his methods for addressing poor performances. “I will expect to be in one phase that I don’t need to do anything because they will push each other,” he stated.

“But if you train bad one time, I will you show the image in the moment. I will not speak with you, I will just speak. I will show you everything.”

This direct confrontational style, backed by irrefutable performance data, signals a new era of accountability at United.

Amorim has established a six-person leadership group to enforce standards within the squad, consisting of captain Bruno Fernandes alongside Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Tom Heaton and Harry Maguire.

These senior figures are expected to help maintain discipline among their colleagues throughout the campaign.

Luke Shaw revealed that the uncommitted players had been removed from the squad

Luke Shaw recently suggested that players who were not fully committed have already been removed from the squad.

The defender’s comments align with Amorim’s zero-tolerance policy towards underperformance.

United face a challenging start to their domestic campaign, hosting Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday week.

The Red Devils are seeking significant improvement after concluding the previous season in fifteenth position.
