Glastonbury fans have been left furious at the “ridiculous” prices of tickets for the music festival in 2025 – just months after the backlash it received for this year’s line-up.

This year’s event saw big names such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA hit the Pyramid Stage as thousands of music fans flocked to the front to get the best view.

Each year, fans of the festival – which began in 1970 – have continued to complain about the artist line-up and the climbing prices.

Organisers have assured complainers that the hike in price is to keep the festival going, rather than raking in a profit.

It doesn’t seem like the prices are going to drop anytime soon, with an estimated six million fans set to battle it out for 2025’s festival tickets – which have a hefty price tag.

Introducing a fancy new ticketing system – which features a new queue – fans are preparing to hand over hundreds in an attempt to secure a place, despite not seeing who will be performing.

In 2025, festival goers will need to cough up £373.50 for a full-price ticket, plus a £5 booking fee – making a total of £378.50.

The ticket includes access to the full five-day festival plus camping and a range of other perks including a free mobile phone charger and access to the Kidzfield area.

2025’s pricing sees a 40 percent increase from the 2019 festival before the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis.

The new price has prompted fans of the festival to consider whether they want to attend, with one fan writing on X: “Just saw the new price for Glastonbury tickets and almost choked.”

2022 tickets were £280. This is getting ridiculous,” another added before a third said: “I expect some legendary performances for the price we’re expected to pay!” (sic)

Others predicted that upcoming years could cost fans more than £400.

Coach travel tickets for the yearly spectacular go on sale at 6pm on Thursday, November 14, with fans expected to pay in full upfront – including the £160 travel cost.

General admission tickets – without coach travel – will go on sale at 9am Sunday, November 17.

Due to the expected full capacity of the festival, fans have already been urged to register in an attempt to limit the amount of people trying to buy tickets.

Despite no names being announced yet, fans have already begun speculating who could grab the coveted spot on the Pyramid Stage in 2025.

One name who seems to be the front runner is Ed Sheeran, with a source claiming to The Sun: “Ed adores performing at Glastonbury and getting to sing to so many fans on a massive scale.

“He hasn’t got any big UK gigs lined up next summer, so this would be really special.”

Former One Direction star Harry Styles could be another act for Glastonbury 2025, with music icon Cher allegedly in talks for the coveted Sunday Legends slot.
