Imane Khelif has suffered more abuse online after undergoing a makeover following her win at the Paris Olympics.

The boxing star recently secured gold out in France, beating four opponents on her way to glory.

Khelif faced widespread scrutiny over her gender during the Olympics, with the likes of Elon Musk, JK Rowling and Donald Trump all piling in.

She has filed a cyberbullying complaint with French prosecutors, having been left appalled by the treatment she received.

Since her win, Khalif has undergone a makeover with the Algerian showing off her new look on Instagram.

She’s been hit with a barrage of abuse by fans, however, with some still targeting the boxing star in the comments section.

Fortunately for Khelif, not everybody was so negative with many sending messages of praise and support.

“Queen of the olympics, honestly I can’t see any difference she was beautiful before,” said one user.

Khelif also displayed her new image while meeting Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

She was given the rank of major while wearing her gold medal around her neck and smiling.

In another post on social media, she wrote: “Today, I had the honour of being honored by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, with a medal of the rank of Major from the National Merit Class.”

Khelif has said the abuse she’s received has ‘affected’ her.

But the Algerian is ready to accept apologies if they come, with the boxer keen to avoid holding grudges.

“If someone apologises to me, I will accept their apology,” she said.

“But to those who don’t apologize, I send a message: I am a female, and I will remain a female, and my honor comes before everything.”

Khelif has also thanked fans for their support.

“It affected me a lot, it hurt me a lot. I can’t describe to you the amount of fear I had,” she said.

“The scenario was very scary. Thank God, all the people of Algeria and the Arab world knew Imane Khelif with her femininity, her courage, her will.”
