Sir Michael Caine waded in on the ongoing riots which are currently causing chaos across the nation, issuing a savage two-word response which left his followers applauding.

The UK riots and anti-protests first began after Axel Rudakubana – and 17-year-old from Banks village in Lancashire – stormed a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport and killed three young girls; Bebe King, six, Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.

Outraged by his actions, thousands began to riot which have been fueled by xenophobia and misinformation surrounding the tragic killing of the girls which has resulted in the arrest of around 400 people and another 100 individuals being charged.

Prime Minister Kier Starmer stated on Tuesday evening, that communities “will be safe” after a Cobra meeting and adding that those taking part in the riots will “feel the full force of the law”.

Police went on to confirm that sources had identified at least 30 spots where riots could continue on Wednesday evening, however, they were met with thousands of anti-protestors hitting back against those who were out to cause unrest.

Many celebrities have been using their social media to highlight their disgust with those who are intentionally causing chaos, including acting legend Sir Michael Caine.

He took to his X account on Wednesday, August 7 and simply penned: “Calm down”. Whilst he didn’t elaborate on the message, many of his fans felt he was referencing the violence which has been taking place.

The tweet gained 25,000 likes within hours and many were delighted that the actor was speaking out, with some labelling it the “best advice” they’d heard in a long time.

Cane isn’t alone in speaking out against the violence, as singer Paloma Faith recently condemned the riots on her social media, where she has 844,000 followers.

Posting her statement, she penned: “My message to the right-wing idiots ruining our country… As the mother of two half-Muslim North African children and as a born and raised resident and proud member of the Hackney community, I stand vehemently against racism of any kind.

“I am proud of a Britain which is diverse, integrated and accepting of all cultures. We cannot scapegoat minorities for this country’s problems when in my experience all they have done is contribute to the rich, diverse culture I grew up in that has shaped the best parts of me and the people I love and adore.”

She concluded the post: “With all due respect to the right-wing fascists, f*** off.”

Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps actor Will Mellor also slammed those taking part in the riots and revealed that his 16-year-old daughter admitted she was scared to leave the house.

Taking to both his X account and Instagram account, Mellor posted a video of himself, where he exclaimed: “When my daughter is scared to go out I have to say something!!

“I have just come out for a bit of a walk, and coffee, to clear my head a bit. I am just sick of waking up to all this horrible, negative, hateful, s***e on social media.

“Most of them faceless accounts that I am muting by the second but it is just horrible to read and see. And the news, you know my daughter came to me the other day and she was scared about going out because of everything that is going on in the streets in England.

“That is wrong man, how can we not all see that all we are is people? It’s all we are. The actions of a few don’t represent the rest. There are bad eggs in every single culture and we need to sort that out but the only way we do that is by coming together as people.

“I mean just put it simply, right? The majority of rapists are white males, so does that mean all white males are rapists? Obviously not, that would be stupid. Come on man, we can do better than this, this is a joke.”
