Strictly Come Dancing has revealed its star-studded line-up for this year’s season on the show, but commentator Paula London was less than impressed claiming that there are “too many left-wing snowflakes” in the cast.

The line-up includes the likes of Love Island’s Tasha Ghori, Go Compare operatic singer Wynne Evans, and The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wickes.

Sharing her thoughts on GB News, London said: “I feel like it’s had its day.”

She later added: “I mean, you’ve got the guy from Go Compare, the one that sings. How is he a celebrity? You’ve got Pete Wicks that’s been on every show going.”

Explaining the type of celebrities she wants to see on the show, London said: “I would like to see more right-wing people on the show because I feel like a lot of people on the left are snowflakes.

“They’re complaining about PTSD, they’re complaining about gruelling hours.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

“I feel like if BBC had more right-wing people, they’re less likely to have people want to sue them afterwards.”

Other names announced include 80s singer Toyah Willcox and Scottish media personality medic Dr Punam Krishan.

Fans of the show have hit out at the BBC after the lineup was released saying that the BBC show’s time is up.

One viewer fumed: “#StrictlyComeDancing line up so far is a joke!! What used to be a ticket full of stars, is now a ticket full of reality stars – Tasha, Pete even Wynne… #notwatchingthisyear #Strictly @bbcstrictly @bbcstrictlyPR.”

Another questioned: “What happened to the no ITV reality stars rule? This line up is so dreadful so far. #StrictlyComeDancing”

A third took aim at the line-up as they scoffed: “The Go Compare man ?? Are you actually kidding me?? Who’s next? One of the teletubbies? #StrictlyComeDancing”

Someone else wrote: “Wow! The new strictly line up screams boring…I don’t know half of them. Reality tv stars shouldn’t even be allowed.

“And there’s a trained dancer taking part?? Why doesn’t strictly learn; we want bill baileys, we want to see ppl have fun, the underdogs. #bbc #StrictlyComeDancing.”

Strictly has been involved in its fair share of controversy this year, after a dance scandal made headlines.

Professional dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima were both axed from this year’s lineup over allegations of abusive behaviour towards former contestants.

Sherlock star Amanda Abbington quit Strictly last year just five weeks into the show which at the time was cited due to “personal reasons”.

She later claimed the true reason behind her departure was due to the Italian dancer’s behaviour towards her during rehearsals, which she described as “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean”.
