Emma Raducanu took a medical timeout after suffering an injury scare in the third set of her Wimbledon clash against Lulu Sun.
The 2021 US Open champion had just forced a deciding set against the New Zealand qualifier having gone behind early on.
A shock was on the cards as Raducanu battled to try and find a way past a tricky opponent.
But she managed to dig deep and take advantage of Sun’s dip in form at the end of the second set to force a third.

That gave Raducanu all the momentum going into the deciding set with both players taking a long break before getting back underway.
But Centre Court fell silent just three points into the third set when Raducanu slipped over while chasing a ball across the baseline.
The 21-year-old appeared to lose her footing and landed awkwardly before shaking her head.
The physio was out instantly with Raducanu clutching at her knee while grimacing in pain.
Former world No 1 Ashleigh Barty noted that the injury didn’t look too bad with Raducanu able to get back to her feet on her own accord.
“The way she slipped it almost looked like a hyper-extension,” she said.
“Often it’s that shock. You sit up and think ‘what have I done, what happened here?’
“It’s a difficult moment for everyone.”

The physio began working on Raducanu with plenty of focus seemingly on the young star’s back.
Raducanu had been clutching her back at times throughout the match, but there were promising signs that she would be able to continue.
The three-minute medical timeout soon came to an end and Raducanu got back to her feet to huge applause from the Centre Court crowd.

But Sun took full advantage of a shaky Raducanu by immediately breaking to give her the first advantage in the final set.
The British wildcard was competing in the fourth round of a major for the first time since winning the US Open back in 2021.
Sun was only making her second-ever appearance in the main draw of a Grand Slam having debuted in this year’s Australian Open.
