Ryanair flight horror as woman dies onboard after medical emergency

A woman travelling back to Ireland from Malaga, Spain has died on board a Ryanair flight after a medical emergency.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to Dublin airport to try and save her, however, the woman, who was in her 60s, was pronounced dead shortly after landing.


The woman was then transported to the morgue at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

There are no suspicions of foul play in relation to her death.

A spokesperson for the Gardai said: “Gardai and emergency services were alerted to a medical emergency onboard a flight which landed at Dublin Airport, on Tuesday night, June 18, 2024.

“A female in her 60s was pronounced deceased a short time after landing. Her body was removed to the morgue at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.”

The woman was accompanied on the flight by her son, daughter and a friend, according to The Mirror.

The airline was struck with another tragedy in April when a father-to-be died of a heart attack whilst on board a plane.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Giuseppe Stilo, 33 was treated by two medically trained passengers on flight FR8780 from Turin to Lamezia Terme, Italy, who tried to save the 33-year-old with a defibrillator.

Despite doctors rushing on board with adrenaline, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His five-month pregnant wife Federica Marella discovered the horror news after the plane landed as she was sitting separately at the back of the plane.

In another tragic instance, passengers onboard a Jet2 flight from Tenerife to the UK were shocked when they discovered a man dead in the bathroom mid-flight.

During the journey to the UK on January 2, passengers noticed that the door to the cubicle had been locked for a long time.

They then alerted the crew, who opened the door to a shocking discovery – the deceased man.

The plane was then diverted from its original destination of Manchester to Cork Airport in Ireland.
