Giovanni Pernice has made his first return to social media since the news he wouldn’t be back on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing emerged.
Pernice has been the subject of a reported four complaints from former partners on the show in regards to his conduct and training methods.
Abbington made claims about Pernice’s behaviour after taking part in last year’s showBBC He snubbed any mention of his Strictly departure, however, reposting a video from a different dance project away from the BBC show.
Pernice is one of a handful of Strictly stars who takes part in workshops with members of the public for dance company, Ballando.
The professional dancer shared a video montage of his recent work with the company, captioning the video with a series of three love heart emojis.
In response to the video itself, fans were quick to praise Pernice for his efforts in the clip, with many complimenting his skills and demonstrations.
“How lucky are we to be taught by the best,” one fan commented before a second echoed: “Can’t wait. Gio is the best teacher.”
A third similarly weighed in: “I just love watching these reels everyone just looks like they are having such fun and the joy on Gio’s face as he’s teaching speaks volumes.”
“This video in itself speaks volumes,” a fourth weighed in. “The biggest and best dance fam.”
Meanwhile, a fifth commented: “You are so lucky, wish we had this where I live and being taught by Gio Lucky Lucky……would love it.” (sic)
News of Pernice’s Strictly exit has sparked fierce debate among the BBC show’s fandom and even put GB News presenters Andrew Pierce and Bev Turner at loggerheads.
After his departure was confirmed, Pierce questioned on the People’s Channel whether Pernice’s tough teaching methods and his determination to win the competition were mistakenly judged as crossing the line.

He posed: “He’s a tough taskmaster. Post-traumatic stress, is this not a little over-exaggerated?”
But Turner disagreed, heaping praise on Abbington by saying: “She is no snowflake, the woman who has made this accusation.
“She is one of these actresses who you may not know her name, but you will definitely know her face. Her partner that she adores and lives with was a stuntman who was in a wheelchair. She is a tough cookie.
“For her to make this allegation, maybe we need to take it seriously. The BBC are taking it seriously. There is an official investigation. She has made the allegation and two others have. It’s that fine line where, at what point is robust coaching in that room crossing the line?”
