GB News presenter and pub landlord Adam Brooks is set to step back into the ring on May 11, not just to fight the man opposite, but also to fight knife crime.

The TV star has revealed that his own Dad was “killed” by a machete gang, after stopping them from threatening customers a week earlier.

He claims that he is using his platform to spread one simple message “Knives Down” and if he can stop “just one kid carrying a knife” then his goal will be achieved.

Speaking to GB News, Brooks said: “As a father of three kids, one of which is a 14-year-old boy, I worry about the rising knife crime epidemic sweeping London and the country.

“I want to try and target the normal everyday kids, I won’t be able to influence gang members, but I know for a fact that many local kids are carrying knives through fear and for clout.

“Some of these kids could end up doing something that haunts them for the rest of their lives, which could take a life or cause them to spend their life behind bars.”

The fight will take place on May 11 at the Misfits boxing platform owned by YouTube star KSI, Mams Taylor and boxing promoters the Sauerland brothers, and will be available to view on streaming platforms DAZN and YouTube.

The GB News publican is a massive underdog in the fight with only 10 per cent of online polls suggesting he’ll beat YouTube star King Kenny, a man with an army of over 10 million YouTube subscribers behind him.

In response, Brooks, warned: “GB News viewers will know that I’m not someone who shies away from a challenge.”

The match comes following a serious incident in London today, which resulted in a number of people being injured and the death of a 14-year-old boy.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said: “This is a shocking incident. My thoughts are with those affected and their families.

“I’d like to thank the emergency services for their ongoing response, and pay tribute to the extraordinary bravery shown by police on the scene.

“Such violence has no place on our streets.”

The stabbing came just 24 hours after new research was released by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) showed that over 70 per cent of London’s police stations have been closed since 2010, which has increased the number of assaults and murders by 11 per cent.
