Escape to the Chateau star Angel Adoree stopped her husband Dick Strawbridge in his tracks during a recent discussion on their podcast, Dick & Angel’s Chat…Eau.
The pair, who recently marked their daughter Dorothy’s 10th birthday with a sweet post, discussed all things Easter on their latest podcast as well as returning to France from their US tour.
As well as what the family got up to to mark the annual occasion, Adoree and Strawbridge did their best to explain how French school holidays differ to those in the UK.
But in doing, Adoree made it clear there was one topic of conversation she didn’t want to discuss for fear of becoming emotional.
“I have no idea why our Easter holiday comes three weeks after Easter,” Adoree began. “So it comes at the end of April (or) the start of May, that’s our Easter holidays.
“Which has meant that this particular Easter – because we’ve got back from America, we’ve been catching up, catching up… all of a sudden, ‘Boom’, Easter was upon us.

“So I feel like we haven’t had our normal Easter but what we tried to do is to have those few days and pack a lot in so I feel absolutely s**gged.”
Adoree let out a laugh before Strawbridge took over: “There you go. Just like a normal Easter. But the whole way Easter came… the children had two weeks!
“We have different holidays in France, you have to get your head around it, it doesn’t make any sense.
“Half-term is two weeks, there was two weeks early on when we were in America and there’s another two weeks for Easter which is not at Easter, it’s sort of like another half-term.
“And then we go on to the end of it, it gets confusing because the next holiday is the summer term,” he added to which Adoree agreed: “Yeah, it’s the summer.”
Strawbridge then dropped the bombshell: “And that’s Arthur’s last term at school. He’s a big boy.”
Reeling from the revelation, Adoree began to stumble over her words as she replied: “Okay, let’s not… we’re not gonna speak about that.
“We’ve given that plenty of airtime and it put me – it makes me feel a little bit sad,” the former Channel 4 star added as he voice changed pitch.
“Give over!” Strawbridge harped back, clearly keen to embrace his son’s next steps. “Things are moving on.”
The pair then continued their Easter-themed chat as they revealed they still found enough time to hold an Easter Egg hunt for their two children.
