Jodie Foster has lashed out at Gen Z, claiming the demographic are workshy and “really annoying”.
Foster, 61, is well known in the industry for helping to mentor younger actors and actresses, including famous names such as Game of Thrones and The Last of Us star, Bella Ramsey.
Speaking on her experience, working with young people, the Silence of the Lambs star explained she found their work ethic frustrating.
“They’re really annoying, especially in the workplace,” Foster told The Guardian.

“They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today, I’m gonna come in at 10.30 am’.
“Or in emails, I’ll tell them, ‘This is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling?’ And they’re like, ‘Why would I do that, isn’t that kind of limiting?’”
One of her best pieces of advice for young actors is teaching them how to relax in a role.
“They need to learn how to relax, how to not think about it so much, how to come up with something that’s theirs,” Foster said.

But Goldberg snapped back, adding: “Every generation comes and wants to do better than their parents did. Every generation.
“But I’m sorry. If you only want to work four hours, it’s gonna be harder for you to get a house.”
She continued: “I feel for everybody that feels this but I’m sorry, we busted our behinds.
“We had to bust our behinds because we didn’t have the option of going back.”
